The wait is over: Challenge Race feature is already in the DeRace metaverse!
Players, get ready to take your horse racing journey to the next level as you challenge fellow players in head-to-head showdowns. It’s time to showcase your strategic prowess and unleash your racing skills in thrilling one-on-one competitions.
How to challenge: step-by-step tutorial đź“š
Challenging other players is very straightforward and intuitive.
- Head to https://derace.com/horses and choose which NFT horse you want to challenge (the horse must have an owner). Once you have made your decision — open that horse’s profile and press on “Challenge this horse” button
2. Fill out the Challenge form with all the necessary details related to the challenge:
- Choose your NFT horse
- Select the entry fee
- Race length & surface
- Race type: with or without equipment
3. Once all the Challenge Race details are selected — confirm the selection by pressing the “Continue” button.
4. Review the Challenge Race details once again. If everything is correct — press the “Challenge” button to proceed with the challenge. If not — press the “Go back” button to edit the Challenge Race details.
5. Challenge has now been issued, entry fee automatically paid and the owner of the NFT horse which was challenged has been sent the notification with all the challenge details. They have 24 hours to accept/deny the challenge.
6. Once a challenge is accepted, the entry fee is automatically deducted from the player, Challenge Race is automatically generated and it begins 10 minutes after accepting the challenge.
7. Race is run, the winner is declared and the rewards automatically distributed to the winner.
8. If the challenge is rejected the entry fee is returned back to the challenger.
Challenge Races: exceptions 🔍
The same player cannot issue more than one challenge to the same NFT horse if there are any pending challenges to that horse.
Players cannot challenge their own NFT horses (horses in the same in-game wallet/stable).
If the entry fee for the Challenge Race is more than the total DERC amount in the opponent’s wallet, they won’t be able to accept the challenge. If it’s more than owned by the challenger — they won’t be able to issue the challenge.
Challenge Races run are not counted towards the NFT horse’s win rate, total races, missions or horse achievements. However, it’s counted in the “Total DERC won” category.
