Another busy week has passed by in a blur and now it’s time for the brand new DeRace development update. So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest accomplishments made by the DeRace team 🤩

🏆 Tournaments

This week marked a milestone as we launched closed Tournament testing with the participation of our community.

The participation of our community in this testing phase is integral to the development process. It allows us to gather real-time feedback and understand firsthand how players interact with the Tournament system. This collaborative approach ensures that the features we roll out resonate with the needs and expectations of our players.

Testing the Tournaments feature

The ongoing Tournament tests are an exciting time for both the development team and the community. They represent a shared journey towards creating a feature that will add a new level of competition and excitement to the DeRace ecosystem. We’re looking forward to bringing you an experience that is not just functional but also thrilling and engaging.

🏅Leaderboards

Since last week we’ve made great strides integrating the back-end structure with the front-end interface, so our focus this week has also been on testing the integrated system of the Leaderboards to ensure its stability and smooth functionality.

The Leaderboards are a crucial aspect of the gaming experience, providing a platform for players to track their progress and achievements. Our team is working diligently to ensure that the transition between back-end data and the front-end display is seamless and accurate.

The testing phase for the Leaderboards involves rigorous checks and balances. We’re scrutinizing every detail, from data accuracy to user interface performance, to ensure that the Leaderboards are not only reliable but also user-friendly and intuitive.

Our aim is to develop a dynamic tool that primarily focuses on rankings, offering both monthly and all-time standings. While the Leaderboards will mainly showcase player rankings, they will be a key feature for detemining competition and success within the DeRace community.

🏇 Race Intro

Our game designers have embarked on an exciting new task — developing a race participants’ close-up shot for the game intro. This exciting new addition is set to bring a new level of detail and personalization to the game, allowing players to see a closer, more intimate view of their and opponents horses at the start of each race. It’s a way to bring the horses to life, giving them a spotlight moment before each race begins.

The close-up shots in the Game Intro will provide an in-depth view of each horse, displaying key statistics and characteristics. This feature allows players to not only admire the visual appeal of the horses but also gain valuable insights into their attributes and performance potential. Our designers are dedicated to creating a comprehensive horse overview that emphasizes each horse’s unique qualities and stats.

This feature is more than just an aesthetic enhancement; it reflects our commitment to creating a narrative that makes the race feel more lifelike. By bringing players closer to their horses, we’re enhancing the bond between player and their NFT horse, adding a new layer of depth to the racing experience.

👥 Teams/clubs

Significant progress has been made in developing the back-end logic for the Teams page. By building a robust backend framework, we’re laying the groundwork for a feature that will allow players to form, manage, and interact with their teams and clubs seamlessly.

The development of the back-end logic this week focused on streamlining the process for team creation and member management. This task, while intricate, is crucial in ensuring that the Teams/Clubs feature is both effective and easy to navigate. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience for players to join teams or manage their memberships.

As we develop this feature, we’re keeping the community’s needs and preferences at the forefront. This development is a step towards building a more connected and engaged player community within the DeRace metaverse.
