👥 Teams/clubs
We’re excited to announce the finalization of the Jockey Silk Creator UI, a tool that allows teams to design and customize their jockeys’ uniforms.
This week, our front-end dev Katerina’s focus has been on refining the user interface to ensure it’s not just functional, but also easy to use. Our teams will soon be able to unleash their creativity, designing jockey uniforms.
We’ve fine-tuned the customization options, ensuring a wide array of choices in colors and patterns, allowing each team to infuse their jockey silks with unique flair and personality. The process of creating these silks has been streamlined to be as intuitive as possible, making it easy for anyone to create something truly special.
We now pass the baton to our back-end maestro, Kristis, who will now continue the vital work on the technical side of this feature. So stay tuned for more updates!
🏆 DERCember Cup 2023
This week in DeRace, we celebrated the conclusion of our first ever automated tournament — DERCember Cup 2023, marking a significant milestone in our platform’s history.
This year’s event was a great success, with approximately 450 horses participating and a total of 360 races run throughout the event. The competition was fierce, culminating in the winners splitting a prize pool of 6700 $DERC from entry fees, in addition to over 2500 $USDC worth of additional prizes. It’s also worth noting that the whole event was fully automated via our new Tournament feature!
As we close this year’s event, we’re already looking forward to next year, anticipating even more excitement and competition.
🏇 Player Achievements
Following last week’s successful release of Player Achievements, we’re now working on expanding this feature with additional achievements.
We want to ensure that there are always fresh goals to pursue in the DeRace metaverse. These additional achievements are designed to offer a diverse range of challenges that cater to different playstyles and strategies and reward our players’ dedication.
By introducing new achievements, we aim to keep our community engaged and motivated, ensuring that there’s always something new to strive for.
🏅 Leaderboards
We’re excited to announce the release of the much-anticipated Leaderboards feature in DeRace. 🚀
This new feature allows players to track the top-performing horses in dynamic monthly and all-time rankings. Players can also filter the Leaderboards by most DERC winner, race veteran, podium conqueror, last-place taker and fastest racer.
With the Leaderboards, players now have a new goal to aim for. Whether you’re a veteran player or new to the platform, the Leaderboards provide a platform for players to gain recognition for their achievements, enhancing the sense of community.
