🕹️ Jockey Silks Creator
This week has also seen significant progress in the development of the Jockey Silk Creator.
We have successfully connected the user interface with the back-end logic, and are now in the testing phase. This connection is a critical step in bringing the Jockey Silk Creator to life, allowing teams to design and customize their jockeys’ uniforms within the game. Our team has been working diligently to ensure that the backend supports all the functionalities of the Jockey Silk Creator UI, including a range of customization options.
The testing phase of the Jockey Silk Generator is focused on identifying and resolving any potential issues and ensuring that the Jockey Silk Creator is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable to use. We hope to provide a tool that enhances the team experience in DeRace.
🏆 Tournaments
Responding to our community’s feedback, we’ve begun adding more functionalities to the Tournaments feature. Our back-end developer, Kristis, is working on a significant update that allows not only the finalists but also participants from the initial rounds to win rewards. This update is crucial in creating a more inclusive and rewarding tournament experience, allowing a broader range of participants to receive recognition and rewards.
This enhancement opens up unlimited possibilities for tournament creators, allowing them to design events with diverse and inclusive rewards for all. The technical challenge involved expanding the back-end capabilities to accommodate these new functionalities.

🏇 Player Achievements
This week, we are excited to announce the finalization of additional player achievements.
These new achievements are focused on player engagement and competition, unlocking when a player challenges others or when their horse participates in tournaments. By rewarding players for challenging others and participating in tournaments, we’re fostering a more dynamic and engaging gaming environment.
The Player Achievements motivate players to explore different aspects of the game, enhancing their overall experience and sense of accomplishment. By continuously introducing new and meaningful goals, we aim to keep the gameplay experience fresh, challenging, and rewarding. So stay tuned for the release of the additional Player Achievements!
👥 Teams/clubs
We’re making significant progress in developing the team/club joining functionality. Specifically, we’ve been working on allowing users to apply to one team at a time and await approval or rejection from the team owner or manager.
This week, we focused on refining the back-end processes to ensure a smooth and intuitive application experience for our users. The option for users to cancel their application if they change their mind before being accepted has also been integrated, offering flexibility and control in their team/club selection process.
By streamlining the process of joining teams, we’re facilitating easier interactions within the DeRace community, making it more accessible for players to engage with each other. Also, the ability for team owners or managers to approve or reject applications is a feature that adds a layer of management and decision-making, reflecting real-world team dynamics within the DeRace metaverse.
