We have made significant progress on the Free Trial Mode, focusing this week on testing after implementing valuable community feedback.
The community’s insights have been crucial in building this feature to ensure it meets their and new player expectations. Our team has been testing whether the new additions work smoothly and if all the bugs have been resolved.
The Free Trial Mode is a pivotal part of our strategy to help onboard new players and lower the barriers to entry, encouraging more people to try the game. 💰 Ancestry Rewards
Ancestry Rewards are coming together!
Our dev team continues to make strides in developing the back-end infrastructure for the Ancestry Rewards system. This feature aims to reward owners of horse ancestors with $ZERC based on breeding activities, promoting long-term engagement. The Ancestry Rewards system will launch alongside Gen1 horse breeding, providing ongoing incentives for maintaining and expanding horse lineages.
Technically, building this infrastructure involves creating complex data tracking systems to monitor generational lineage and calculate rewards accurately. Our developers are focused on ensuring scalability and efficiency, as the system needs to handle a growing number of horses and breeding activities.
🏆 Tournaments
Our team has been working diligently to finalize the mixed-length Tournaments’ mechanics, a new addition that brings variety and excitement to zkRace events.
This addition, combined with the recently released mixed-time Tournaments, will open up endless opportunities for event organizers to create diverse and dynamic events. Technically, finalizing the mixed-length Tournaments involved updating our tournament management system to support races of different lengths during the same event.
The introduction of mixed-length Tournaments diversifies the types of competitions available to players. This variety keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging, encouraging players to refine their strategies.

This week Leaderboards got an upgrade, now featuring rewards for top performers! ✨
Every month, Race Veterans (horses with the most races) of the current month get to win, with the 1st place earning 150 $ZERC, 2nd place 100 $ZERC, and 3rd place 75 $ZERC. Additionally, we’ll be rewarding Fastest Racers who break an all-time record. Top 1 Fastest Racer will receive a Liquid Love NFT and 100 $ZERC.
This upgrade not only enhances competition but also incentivizes consistent participation and performance. By offering tangible incentives, we aim to boost engagement, reward top performers and maintain a competitive environment.
