Another busy week has passed by in a blur and now it’s time for the brand new zkRace development update.

📣 Referral Program
This week, we updated our Referral Program to direct new users to the Free Trial Mode instead of the main zkRace website.
Since the primary goal of referrals is to invite new players, directing them to the Free Trial Mode provides an ideal starting point, allowing them to explore the game’s mechanics and features without any initial commitments. By offering a hands-on trial before fully joining, we aim to improve user retention and encourage new players to dive deeper into zkRace.
Our full-stack dev Gytis modified the referral link structure and ensured the tracking system remains seamless, with no impact on the referral rewards system. This shift not only streamlines the onboarding process but also aligns our referral program with zkRace’s broader strategy of lowering barriers for newcomers and providing them with a smooth introduction to Web3 gaming.
🐴 Horse NFT staking
We’re in the process of developing the logic for staking Horse NFTs in exchange for Sugar Cubes, which is the foundation of our Horse Retirement System!
This week, our in-house economist started reviewing the Sugar Cubes economy to ensure it can support both Horse Retirement rewards and the broader game ecosystem. The economist’s input is vital to ensuring that the system remains stable as more players engage with the staking mechanism, especially as Horse Retirement becomes a more prominent feature.
By fine-tuning the rewards structure and creating sustainable staking options, we aim to incentivize long-term player engagement while ensuring the in-game economy remains balanced. This will not only provide value to Horse NFT owners but also contribute to the overall ecosystem’s stability.
👥 Player Onboarding
We’ve provided the Free Trial Mode APIs to one of the Web3 game aggregator platforms — GAM3S.gg, where they have successfully completed testing and released the Free Trial Mode quests, marking an important step in expanding zkRace’s reach.
These quests are designed to onboard new players by guiding them through zkRace’s Free Trial Mode, offering them a chance to win exclusive rewards, including 50 G3-branded NFT horses. The collaboration with GAM3S.gg provides a valuable platform for introducing zkRace to a broader Web3 audience and incentivizing player engagement through quests.

This launch is a key part of our strategy to make zkRace a leading gateway to Web3 gaming. By offering structured and rewarding onboarding experiences through quests, we introduce new players to zkRace and increase engagement and retention. Moving forward, we’ll continue to refine our onboarding processes and expand partnerships with additional Web3 game aggregators to bring zkRace to an even larger audience.
🎮 Free Trial Mode
This week we’ve also addressed several bugs and implemented minor improvements in the Free Trial Mode.
These fixes focused on optimizing user experience, ensuring smoother navigation, and resolving any issues players encountered during the trial. By continuously refining the trial mode, we’re working to provide a seamless introduction for new players, reducing friction points that may prevent them from fully enjoying the zkRace ecosystem.
