Another Friday — another zkRace weekly development update! Let’s dive into what the team has been working hard on accomplishing throughout this week 🤓
🎡 Spin-the-Wheel
This week, our team progressed with the bulk Spin-the-Wheel feature by developing a user interface to display all results at once, making it clear and concise for users to see what they’ve won.
The bulk spin option will allow players to process multiple spins in one action, saving time and enhancing the user experience by eliminating the need to wait for each individual spin result.
Our full-stack dev Gytis created a front-end interface that can handle and visually present multiple spin outcomes simultaneously. Gytis also was working on ensuring that the new interface seamlessly communicates with the back–end, which Kristis already built last week.
Next week, we plan to test the new bulk spin feature to ensure everything works as expected and possibly even release it. Our focus will be on validating that the results are accurately displayed, the interface is user-friendly, and the back-end processes handle multiple spin requests without any issues.
🐴 Horse NFT staking
Our zkRace game economist continued the review of the Sugar Cubes economy this week to ensure that the Horse NFT staking rewards can be sustainably supported.
The focus is on balancing the supply and demand of Sugar Cubes, as well as evaluating the impact of staking rewards on the broader in-game economy. This involved analyzing various economic models and player behavior data to forecast the long-term viability of the staking rewards.
Ensuring the sustainability of the Sugar Cubes economy is vital for the success of the Horse NFT staking feature and the overall stability of zkRace. By carefully planning and testing the economic models, we can provide players with meaningful rewards while preserving the game’s economic integrity, ultimately contributing to a more engaging and rewarding experience for all participants.
👥 Web Updates
zkRace team also implemented several updates across the zkRace platform, based on community feedback. We added Horse IDs directly to horse cards in the marketplace, NFT horse page, renting page, and breeding page, eliminating the need for users to click through to individual horse pages to view this information.
Additionally, we included the NFT price in the final confirmation step of purchases to ensure users can clearly see how much they are spending before completing a transaction. Our team also ensured that the changes were optimized for both desktop and mobile users, enhancing overall accessibility and user experience.
By addressing these community-suggested improvements, we aim to streamline navigation and reduce friction points for our users, making their interactions with zkRace more efficient and enjoyable.
