It’s Friday again, which can only mean one thing — time for the zkRace weekly update! Let’s dive into what the team has been busy accomplishing this week.
🏇 Race Control Center
Our back-end dev, Kristis, has started updating the Race Control Center to improve how we manage races and select lucky race winners.
This includes adding new functionalities that give admins more control over race setups and the ability to choose “lucky race winners” for special events. This means expanding the back-end infrastructure to allow more flexible race management and ensuring these updates integrate smoothly into the existing system.
While this tool is primarily for internal use, it provides significant value to the zkRace team: from efficiently picking lucky race winners to gathering comprehensive data on race events and player interactions. This allows us to analyze performance and improve the overall race management process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and delivering the best experience for our players.
🌉 $ZERC bridge
This week, we continued our efforts to establish the ZERC token bridge to the Base network. This will expand $ZERC to operate across four chains, increasing its utility and appeal within the zkRace ecosystem. The bridge will allow players to transfer $ZERC seamlessly between networks, adding more flexibility.
This bridge setup is crucial to zkRace’s growth. By making $ZERC available across more platforms, we can attract new players and partnerships, increasing both visibility and activity within the ecosystem.
🐴 Horse NFT staking
zkRace team has finalized the economic model for Horse NFT Staking, ensuring that the system can sustainably support Sugar Cube rewards. Our game economist worked closely with the team to balance reward outputs.
We also engaged with one of zkRace’s active communities, the zkRacers, to discuss the future expansion of the Horse Retirement system. The feedback and insights from the community are helping us explore new ways to improve the system.
These discussions with the community are important as they allow us to build a system that players are excited about, driving more long-term engagement and improving zkRace’s in-game economy.
🚀 Migration to Base
This week, we also began deploying and testing the smart contracts for $ZERC deposits and withdrawals. These contracts will allow users to deposit and withdraw their $ZERC tokens directly on the platform, adding more flexibility and ease to how players manage their assets within the zkRace ecosystem.
Our developers focused on ensuring the security and efficiency of these contracts, testing them thoroughly to prevent any issues during live operations. The deployment process also involves rigorous testing to ensure all transactions are processed correctly, with no disruptions to the user experience.
This development is a major step forward in making zkRace’s platform more robust and user-friendly. By enabling seamless $ZERC management, we give players more control over their in-game assets, contributing to a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
