Another exciting and productive week has passed: new partnerships, rewarding events and of course in-game updates. Cause that’s what we’re here for, right? So let’s dive into this week’s game development accomplishments! 🤠
🥕 Additional horse equipment
It’s not only horseshoes and saddles that are needed to equip horses for the race, there are tons of other items that help to improve NFT horse’s functionalities within the game.
This week DeRace game designers focused on modeling additional NFT horse wearables such as ear nets, reins and turnout blankets and they are coming out nicely. Some of these items will have purposes outside the race track which will be revealed before their launch. We are targeting to have a full set of horse equipment with additional items ready within the upcoming week.
NFT horse wearables are already integrated into the back-end and right now it allows us to generate over 4000 distinctive items with different performance enhancing statistics. Once the additional items are ready they will be directly incorporated into the generator.
DeRace V2 is just around the corner and it’s way more than just a back-end revamp! Next week we will release all the sweet stuff that is coming with the MAJOR upgrade.

Each chest tier will have a different chance of having a rare item: the higher the tier, the higher the chance of finding legendary NFT assets. The best part is this: even the common chest has a small chance of hiding a legendary item, you just need lots of luck to get it!😉

🔥 Burn baby, burn!
This week we have completed the NFT asset burning mechanism which makes all DeRace NFT items deflationary.
Once launched, it will allow players to manage the circulating NFTs within the game directly by giving a way to destroy the unwanted NFTs that they own.
Players choose which NFT game assets they want to burn (it can be NFT horse equipment and even horses!) and receive shards for burning them. Each NFT has a specific amount of shards that player can receive after its burn.
Since common NFT horse equipment items will be drawn more frequently than other tier assets, players can burn them to receive shards and exchange it to chests and keys, in order to get a bigger chance to draw a legendary tier item.
