🎖 Missions & horse achievements
Is your NFT horse ready to receive his first quest? What if I told you that they can also be rewarded for their in-game activity? 😏
This week we have fully completed the infrastructure for missions and NFT horse achievements as well as their integration into the testnet environment.
We are now able to track the progress of every horse, distribute the rewards for completing the tasks, automatically generate new missions and assign them among different horses. For completing missions players are rewarded with Sugar Cubes and additional experience points which help their horses to level up even faster!
Players can also easily track their NFT horse achievements and get rewarded with badges and additional prizes after completing an important milestone! It takes longer to unlock NFT horse achievement, however the rewards are just so much sweeter: large amounts of Sugar Cubes, Chests and Keys of various tiers, $DERC tokens and other prizes await the champions…

🍬 Mouthwatering in-game rewards
This week we have introduced Sugar Cubes — the fundamental reward unit — which will be the central feature of our sustainable player earning mechanism.
Sugar Cubes will allow us to reward players for their in-game activity and not only for the performance of their horse which means that any player to complete the assigned missions will get a sweet treat.
Together with an NFT burning mechanism, Sugar Cubes will help us to create a closed-loop economy within the game: players get rewarded with Sugar Cubes for their in-game activity, they can exchange the rewards into Chest and Key NFTs which hold various NFT horse equipment inside.
Players have the full ownership of any NFT asset within the game and can choose to use it themselves, sell to other players on secondary marketplaces or burn them for extra sugar cubes. Through the NFT burn mechanism, players will be able to regulate the supply of the in-game utility NFTs themselves and get rewarded for that.
Sugar Cubes also opens the doors for the various well-established guilds to join the DeRace metaverse. Both the guilds and their scholars can take the advantage of Sugar Cubes, as this reward can be easily divided among the two parties.

🗝 Time to unlock the mystery!
Have you ever wondered how the NFT Chest unlock will happen? Today is the day to reveal all the magic behind it!
NFT Chests differ in their tier, which means that the higher the Chest tier, the higher the chance to draw a legendary item. To unlock the Chest, a Key of the same tier (or higher tier) is required.
According to its tier, Chests have different probabilities of hiding rare items inside. For example, chances to draw a legendary item from a common Chest are quite low (but not 0!) and it increases with the higher tier.
To make the NFT Chest opening fun and exciting we have created an item generator, which lets the players see which horse wearable they will get, after unlocking the Chest!
We have also finalized the infrastructure behind this item generator so it can assign the NFT according to the horse’s level.
