Another busy week has passed us by! Let’s step back and take a look at what the DeRace team has accomplished this week 🤩
🔬 Band new feature testing completed
A number of selected community members had fun testing the upcoming features throughout this week!
Testers tried out all the brand new features which are going to be released in the first massive feature launch. Players enjoyed the completely revamped in-game reward mechanics such as accomplishing missions and earning Sugar Cubes & XP points, buying NFT Chests & NFT Keys and opening them for the horse wearables, as well as burning not usable in-game NFTs for Sugar Cubes.
Testers also used the NFT wearables to equip their horses to become more competitive on the racetrack and to open up additional gameplay opportunities.
The brand new features to be launched in the first batch are going to completely revamp the current in-game mechanics and create an even more immersive gameplay loop within the DeRace ecosystem, so buckle up for the ride!
🛠 Tester feedback implementation
During this week we have collected a massive amount of feedback from the testers and we have already started bringing it to life!
So far we have tweaked the visual side of the platform according to the community suggestions and we will continue upgrading it until the new feature launch.
We are taking a second look into the game economics, more specifically player rewards as well as the NFT burning mechanism side of it. We are also revisiting the mission feature in order to make it even more seamless for players with large stables.

🕺 NFT Jockeys fully animated
DeRace Jockeys’ are ready to bond with their NFT horses! 🏇
This week our game designers have completed the NFT Jockeys’ victory animations and upgraded their 3D viewer motions to make them much more synchronized. Now that the Jockey looks and animations are finalized, they are ready for a next big upgrade!
Very shortly we’re going to start working on the full Jockey mechanics: their inherent characteristics such as personality, experience and racing style, as well as their bond with the NFT horses. All these characteristics will open a window for more immersive and realistic gameplay which our players get to enjoy.
The complete NFT Jockey mechanics are launching with our second batch of game features, however we will share some sneak peeks well in advance with our community (and maybe even open the test-net for a few lucky ones) 😏
🚀 Our newest hippodrome is launch-ready
The brand new hippodrome with the turf surface is good to go!
This week we have put the last finishing touches into our Sakura Path hippodrome. Our game designers have upgraded the hippodrome environment together with its lighting and optimized it for a smooth player experience.
DeRace game designers have also integrated new animations such as floating cherry blossom petals at the beginning and the end of the race for an additional touch of realism.
Our newest hippodrome with the turf surface is now completed and very soon players get to enjoy short distance races on the turf surface. Giddy up! 🥳
