Another busy week has passed by in a blur and now it’s time for the brand new DeRace development update.
So let’s dive into the accomplishments made by the DeRace team so far!🤿
🏇 New feature release
This week has started with a bang, as we have launched a number of new features which have significantly expanded DeRace gameplay.
Our team has released invite-only races, automatic additional prizes’ distribution, custom tournament creation and the initial version of the Hippodrome Management System.
Currently only the DeRace team has the option to create custom races or basic tournaments by using the HMS, however, we are working on expanding it. Step-by-step we are adding additional features into the Hippodrome Management console such as banner rotation, more elaborate tournament creator and a few other features which will be useful for the hippodrome managers.
As of now, enjoy the new gameplay opportunities and make sure to join all the exciting racing events that are about to happen, empowered by the latest feature release!🏇
🏆 DERCember Cup 2022
The launch of brand new features also gave us a perfect chance to test them out together with our community and thus the idea of DERCember Cup was born 🥳
We made a full use of all newly released features when launching the DERCember Cup event.
Using the custom race creator we specify the track, distance, entry fee and the race timing. With the invite-only feature we invite all the horses that were randomly chosen for the qualifiers and later on — the finalists. We are also using the automatic additional prize distribution mechanics to reward the majority of the horses which makes creating such custom events so much easier.

🏟 Visual hippodrome updates
Along with building a new hippodrome from scratch, our game design team have also revisited Paradise Hills & Emerald Garden hippodromes.
To make each hippodrome unique and authentic, we have designed the starting gates to fit each hippodromes’ environment (instead of having the generic ones in every hippodrome).
New starting gates fit nicely within the hippodrome themes and bring additional charm into the hippodromes.
The new starting gates are already live & you might have noticed them already 😉
☃️ Hippodrome ready to launch
This week our game design team has completed the newest hippodrome and now what is left is to run a few tests and choose a name!
Very soon, you get to race your NFT horses under the northern lights: the release of this hippodrome will open up additional length races for the synthetic surface.
