Another Friday, another DeRace development update!
This week the DeRace team has focused on the upcoming feature launch, batch 2 functionalities logic, creating a concept for the upcoming hippodrome and a few other things related to the game-changing Uptober announcements 😉

💡 Brand new hippodrome base concept
Get ready for the surprising reveal of our 5th hippodrome! 🥳
This week our game designers have focused on creating the concept of our 5th hippodrome and it looks amazing! Check it out 👇
This is just the first look into the concept that we are working with. There’s still much to do: complete the hippodrome environment, finalize all the necessary elements and decide on the additional details such the lighting and any other environment features.
However, we already have the base concept ready and we are going to keep on updating it until the new hippodrome is ready to come alive.
🏁 In-game racing teams
Racing enthusiasts — it’s time to build your dream team (if you haven’t done it so far)!
In the second feature batch launch we are introducing the racing team feature within the game. It will include everything from team roles to special team-only dedicated in-game activities.
With the input from the DeRace community as well as our game advisors we have created the basic logic of how the racing teams are going to work within the metaverse. We still have to go over the specific details of this feature. After that we are going to work on the racing teams’ mechanics from the back-end side.
So get ready to challenge the other teams and prove your dominance on the racetrack!
🏇 Jockey mechanics
DeRace Jockeys cannot wait to join the races!
The first MASSIVE feature batch launch will include the NFT Jockeys into the next-generation races with the assets. For the time being, Jockeys are going to be generic ones which means that they all will look the same and they won’t have the integrated mechanics yet.
We have already started working on the Jockey functionalities which are going to be integrated into the game during the second batch launch. This week we have revisited the joint workings of Jockey and NFT horse mechanics and once the highly-anticipated first feature batch is launched we will start working on the back-end side of it.
Prepare for even more fun on the racetrack as jockeys are about to take the stage!🕺
🔬 Private testing part 2
Testers are getting one more chance to explore the revamped DeRace platform!
This week we have completed the essential fixes and improvements for the upcoming feature launch and now it’s time to retest it again.
We have upgraded the mission, Chest & Key and NFT burn features to work smoother. Moreover, we have updated the game economics according to the last closed testing feedback. Our developers have also integrated the finalized NFT equipment with new names, colors, and complete mechanics which are going to make racing in the new-generation races with assets even more exciting!
So get ready to acquire horse wearables to equip your horses and race to victory! 🏆
