It’s Friday again and you know what it means: it’s time for the weekly DeRace development update! So without the further ado, let’s dive into the latest accomplishments made by the DeRace team 🤩

🚀 DeRace API 1.0

Amazing news for the DeRace community: this week we have released the DeRace API 1.0!

Builders can now access the DeRace API 1.0 which allows them to create various tools within the DeRace metaverse to enhance the game experience for the players. You can explore the API 1.0 documentation here 🔎 https://derace-api.gitbook.io/api-docs/

DeRace API Key management system from the player side

Whether creating the tools that track the NFT horse performance, offering racing advice or simplifying the race registration process for the players, it all becomes so much smoother with the latest release of API 1.0.

🏁 Hippodrome Management System (HMS)

Our team has continued working on bringing the hippodrome management system to life and this week we have focused on automating the distribution of the additional prizes.

Through the hippodrome management system the hippodrome owners get to generate races according to the selected parameters, create custom races with specific prize pools and along with its distribution, and organize various tournaments.

With the current update, hippodrome managers will be able to deposit various DeRace NFTs, $DERC tokens or Sugar Cubes into the prize pool for the selected races or tournaments. Then they get to choose the prize pool distribution among different winners. After the race is run or tournament is completed, the winners automatically get dropped the prizes into their in-game wallets.

This update makes the races and tournaments even more exciting for the players and also simplifies the workload of the hippodrome managers.

🏆 Tournaments

Thrill seekers, your time is almost here: this week we have finalized the design and the logic for our upcoming tournament feature!

Tournaments in the DeRace metaverse: work in progress

Tournaments are going to have a separate section, where the players can see all the upcoming and already happening racing events. Tournament creators get to include various tournament details such as customized banners, tournament description, prize pool and other different event parameters.

Brace yourself for the next level gaming experience on DeRace platform: even more thrill and amazing rewards are guaranteed!🤯

☃️ 5th hippodrome update

This week we get a first glance into our upcoming wintery hippodrome with synthetic surface, and it looks simply awesome!😍

DeRace newest hippodrome: work in progress

Throughout this week our game design team has placed most of the 3D elements into the hippodrome environment and have even modeled the preliminary lighting of the racetrack. Since this hippodrome is in night-mode only, all the lighting is coming mainly through the floodlights and the sky-lights.

Next week our team is focusing on completing the 3D element placement, adjusting the hippodrome lighting and beginning to work on the northern lights. After the hippodrome environment is fully completed we will start trialing it by racing our horses within the test-net. Cannot wait to race in this wintery hippodrome!😁
