Another busy week has passed by in a blur and now it’s time for the brand new DeRace development update.
So let’s dive into the accomplishments made by the DeRace team so far!🤿
🐎 Horse rental
Step-by-step one of the most anticipated features of this quarter, horse rental, is coming to life!🤠
This week our team has focused on fine tuning the design for the upcoming horse rental feature, detailing the feature looks from the renters side. The NFT horse owner chooses the rent price & rent period to put their horse into the market. They also assign the specific time for when their listing is valid. Once the listing expires, the NFT horse automatically leaves the rental market and the owner has to complete the listing procedure again.
While the horse is put for rent, the owner can still race it, until the moment when their NFT horse is being rented out, which makes our rental feature extremely efficient.
🏁 Improved equipment races
Equipment races with the level requirements are already live on the DeRace platform!
Players can now join the equipment races based on the level of their horses (currently there are 3 different level brackets: 1–25, 26–50, 51–80). New players can trial the equipment races by joining the lower brackets with lower entry fees, while the more experienced players can target the races with higher stakes.
Only some of the races are with level requirements as “Open for all levels” equipment races are still available. Level requirement is bringing even more thrill & competition into the DeRace metaverse.
🏇 NFT Jockey
Among other achievements made this week, the DeRace team has also begun reviewing the Jockey mechanics and all other aspects related to the Jockey release.
As of now we have completed the UX/UI design for the Jockey page, the basic logic on how the NFT Jockeys will integrate and function within the DeRace ecosystem as well as other additional details.
Currently we are focusing on creating the logic & mechanism for the Jockey Silks which will allow us to generate different designs of Silks and for players to easily customize and equip their NFT Jockeys with them. More details on Jockeys and Silks are coming very soon!
🏟 Hippodrome update
This week our game design team has been continuing their work in building the newest hippodrome.
After finalizing the full hippodrome concept last week our team began designing the separate components of the hippodrome environment such as the grandstand, starting gates and other significant buildings & elements.
After this stage is completed, we are moving to creating the environment itself which means building the terrain from the scratch, surroundings, lighting and placing all the 3D elements into the hippodromes. Little by little, the journey of our upcoming hippodrome will come to an end!
