So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest accomplishments made by the DeRace team 🤩
🛍 In-game marketplace
DeRace in-game marketplace feature is coming together step-by-step.
The DeRace team has had a productive week, having completed the development of a fully functioning filtering mechanism for the upcoming in-game marketplace.
Once live, these filters will allow players to easily find specific NFT assets they want by searching based on various criteria. For horses, filters include generation, breed, tier, level, and price, while equipment filters include rarity, price, and level.
The marketplace feature is already in test-net, with a fully functioning deposit and purchase mechanism. Next steps are to add NFT withdrawal from the marketplace function which we will be focusing on in the upcoming week.
🏁 Multiplier races
New type of races — Multiplier races — are already live on the DeRace platform!
This week, we have launched an exciting new feature called Multiplier Races. These races are unique in that they can happen at any time, at any hippodrome, and can be of any length, making them unpredictable and thrilling for players.
Additionally, these races are unnamed, adding to their mystique and intrigue. The prize pool for winners is an impressive 2x $DERC, making the stakes high and the rewards even greater.
The Multiplier Races pop up randomly, so players are advised to keep a keen eye on the ‘Races’ section for a chance to participate and potentially win big. With these exciting new races, players are sure to sit on the edge of their seats!
🏇 NFT Jockey mechanics
Exciting progress has been made on the Jockey in-game mechanics this week.
The generic Jockey NFTs are now live in the test-net and can be deposited into the in-game wallet and withdrawn as needed. Additionally, it is now possible to equip and unequip the horses with a Jockey of choice.
The team has also completed the bonding mechanics between the NFT horse and Jockey, which will enhance the horse’s abilities and allow it to reach its full potential.
Moving forward, we will focus on developing other Jockey mechanics such as experience, personality, and racing style. With these new features, players will be able to create a unique and personalized experience that is sure to keep them engaged and entertained for hours on end.
🏰 Hippodrome updates
This week, our game designers have been working diligently on building the upcoming turf hippodrome.
We have been focused on placing all the necessary elements in their proper places and have been making adjustments to some of the buildings to ensure they fit seamlessly within the hippodrome.
Our efforts have also extended to creating a captivating hippodrome environment, which includes crafting a stunning sky and horizon to set the mood for the game.
We are committed to setting up an authentic and exciting atmosphere that will transport players into the English countryside while racing in this hippodrome. Although there are still some details to be fine-tuned and additional elements to be added, we are pleased with the progress we have made so far and are confident that players will love the immersive experience we are creating in the new hippodrome.
