Another Friday — another DeRace weekly development update! Let’s dive into what the team has been working hard on accomplishing throughout this week 🤓
🛍 In-game marketplace
This week, our team completed an exciting new feature for the in-game marketplace.
The multi-select feature now allows players to list multiple instances of the same NFT item, with a focus on Liquid Love NFT listing. By using just a few clicks, players can place their NFTs into the in-game marketplace faster than ever before. This feature is especially beneficial for guilds or single-sided DERC token stakers who want to list multiple Liquid Love NFTs at once.
With this new functionality, we continue to enhance the game mechanics and make it easier for players to engage with the upcoming in-game marketplace.
🕺 NFT Silks
Our developers have been hard at work creating a mechanism that will generate stunning visuals to display the Jockeys’ Silks used within our platform and NFT marketplaces.
The mechanism will allow for the creation of both basic and more elaborate NFT Silk models, as well as integrating more intricate Jockey Silks and displaying them in a beautiful way.
Even if the Jockey isn’t equipped with the NFT Silks, they will still look gorgeous as a collectible NFT. The team is also working on selecting the most fitting background for the Silks to make them truly stand out. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new feature!
👨🎨 Platform UI improvements
This week we have completed design enhancements for our platform to make it even more player friendly, intuitive and appealing.
Our front-end design team carefully examined the major pain-points of the DeRace platform, seeking to optimize the UX/UI solutions to complement the player experience and enhance the efficiency of navigating and engaging with the ecosystem.
These design updates have already been implemented and are now on the test-net for further testing. Once live, we hope that these enhancements will make the DeRace experience smoother and more enjoyable for all!
🏰 Hippodrome updates
Our team has been hard at work completing the environment for our latest hippodrome, and we’re excited to announce that we’ve reached a major milestone: all major buildings have been placed!
This is a huge step forward in creating an immersive and engaging experience for our players. While there’s still work to be done, such as adding in banner stands and greenery, we’re confident that the finished product will be well worth the wait.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be focused on perfecting the lighting and fog effects to make the environment even more realistic. We can’t wait for our NFT horses to race on this racetrack and for our community to experience the thrill of it!
