It’s Friday again and you know what it means: it’s time for the weekly DeRace development update!
So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest accomplishments made by the DeRace team 🤩
👔 Silk generator
Our game designers have been hard at work this week continuing their efforts on the Jockey Silk generator. They have now completed the mechanics that will allow players to customize Jockey Silks by “uploading” specific logos or images.
This new feature offers a wide range of possibilities beyond just varying the colors and patterns of the Silks. Now, it is possible to include race team or partner logos, opening the door for exciting new collaborations and projects within the DeRace metaverse.
Our game designers are now testing this feature and very shortly they will share the complete generator version with us for some additional trials.
We are thrilled about this new development and can’t wait to see what creative designs we will come up with!
⚡ Database optimisation
This week we have been focusing on optimizing our database to improve the overall performance and scalability of our platform.
By streamlining and organizing our data, we are able to reduce the number of queries needed to retrieve information, resulting in faster load times and smoother user experiences.
This optimization also allows us to handle larger amounts of data without sacrificing performance, which is crucial for our growing user base. Additionally, having an optimized database makes it easier for us to implement new features and functionality, as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Ultimately, our efforts towards database optimization reflect our commitment to providing a high-quality gaming experience for our players.
🎙 Community feedback
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had numerous discussions with various DeRace community groups, including DERCArmy and DeRacers, and we’ve been reviewing the feedback shared directly by the community.
We take this feedback very seriously because we want DeRace to be exciting and relevant for our players. We’re focusing on the major pain-points for the community and looking for the best solutions to address them.

🐎 Q1 feature testing
We are excited to share that the majority of our planned Q1 features are now available in the testnet and are currently undergoing thorough testing by our team.
Alongside the horse renting, marketplace, and NFT jockey mechanics, our developers are also exploring ways to improve these features for a seamless in-game experience. We are taking into account the feedback from our community regarding these features and working to enhance their functionalities to fit the community’s needs.
We’re looking forward to sharing more details once we have completed the testing and enhancement stage.
