Another Friday — another DeRace weekly development update! Let’s dive into what the team has been working hard on accomplishing throughout this week 🤓
🏇 Jockey’s mechanics
Jockeys are already taking over the racetracks in the DeRace metaverse!
Our team has been working hard on testing out the Jockeys mechanics this week to ensure a seamless in-game experience for our players. The focus has been on racing Horse and Jockey pairs in various hippodromes to test out various Jockey features such as racing style, personality, experience, and bonding mechanics.
In addition to these, our team is also going over the Jockeys feature on the platform in general to ensure that players have a smooth interaction with it. This includes examining the overall design and functionality of the feature, making any necessary changes or improvements, and testing it rigorously to make sure it is working as intended.
🕺 Jockey’s Silk NFTs
Jockey Silks are soon coming to the test-net!🤩
Our game designers have been working hard on the Jockey Silk generator and have finally completed it this week. The generator will be joining the other Q1 features in the test-net in the upcoming week.
With the completion of the Silk generator, our team can now create unique Jockey Silks in different colors and patterns. Furthermore, we will test out the “logo” feature that allows the placing of custom images such as team logos on the Jockey Silks. We are excited to test out its various features to ensure that the generator is functioning smoothly as intended.
🛠 Platform health check
Our developers have taken some time this week to carry out the periodical health check of our platform.
This is an important step for ensuring the long-term stability and health of our ecosystem. By regularly assessing the health of our platform, we can identify potential issues and address them before they have a chance to cause any major concerns for our players.
Our developers have been working hard to optimize the performance and stability of our platform, and these health checks help us to maintain our high standards of quality and reliability.
🏆 Gen0 races
Among other achievements this week our team has built an additional feature which allows us to create specific events for Gen0 horses only.
This feature adds an exciting new dimension to our platform, giving players more control over the events they participate in and which horses they use.
The in-built DeRace Manager filter creates a possibility to choose a specific horse generation to access the custom made races/events. Our lovely Laurita is already working on a very special recurring event dedicated to Gen0 horses only and we cannot wait to share more details with you!
