Another busy week has passed by in a blur and now it’s time for the brand new DeRace development update.

🏁 Community owned hippodromes
This week we have successfully established a robust infrastructure that facilitates distribution of fees to hippodrome owners
The basic logic is as follows: players deposit their “hippodrome ownership NFTs” (such as DeRace Jockey Club NFTs) into the platform. Each deposited NFT corresponds to a portion of the entry fees collected from the associated hippodrome.
The allocation of these fees follows a straightforward division method. After every race, the remaining fee is evenly distributed among the NFTs that prove ownership of the specific hippodrome and have been deposited into the platform. We are currently testing out this mechanic to ensure a smooth and accurate distribution.
🏇 Challenge Races
This week, our team focused on advancing the highly anticipated Challenge Race feature.
The foundation is being laid as we seamlessly connect various aspects of this thrilling race type. Notably, we have successfully linked the Challenge form with our Notification feature, ensuring that players receive prompt notifications when they have been challenged to a race and are informed about the stakes and other race details involved.
Moving forward, our next objective is to construct an automated race generator. This tool will create a bespoke race as soon as the Challenge form is completed, incorporating all the specific track details from the form.

🎖 Player achievements
We have reached a major milestone this week, as we have finalized the comprehensive structure for player achievements.
All achievements, with the exception of those tied to Challenge Races, have been finalised and are now ready for testing. Our team has put great effort into ensuring that completing specific tasks brings players closer to unlocking each achievement.
We have also implemented thorough checks to guarantee that once all tasks are successfully completed, players are rightfully assigned the corresponding achievements and receive well-deserved rewards which we will be trialing out as well.

🌴 Upcoming hippodrome
Exciting developments are underway, as our talented game designers put the finishing touches on the awe-inspiring hippodrome.
The DeRace game designers are perfecting the aesthetics of the hippodrome, meticulously refining every small detail to create a stunning and immersive experience for players as they witness their horses racing. The upcoming hippodrome with dirt surface is nearing completion and will soon be uploaded to the test-net for a trial run.
This crucial step allows us to evaluate its performance and identify any necessary fixes or enhancements. Stay tuned for further updates as we bring you closer to an extraordinary racing experience in the world of DeRace!
