Another week has passed by and it’s time for the weekly DeRace development update!
So without further ado, let’s dive into the latest accomplishments made by the DeRace team 🤩
🏟 Community owned hippodromes
This week, the DeRace team has been diligently working on enhancing the Community-Owned Hippodromes (COH) feature. While we have successfully completed the vital component of distributing % of the entry fees among the hippodrome owners, our focus has shifted to other important aspects of the COH.
One of these aspects involves the creation of a treasury, which will serve as a repository for a portion of the collected entry fees. This treasury will enable the hippodrome managers to allocate tokens for rewarding tournament winners or other purposes, such as providing additional incentives for custom races, etc.
It’s important to note that the DERC tokens accumulated in this treasury can only be utilized as incentives for players and cannot be withdrawn. The decision of how many of the tokens should be allocated to the treasury and which events they will be utilized for lies in the hands of the hippodrome manager. This ensures flexibility and empowers managers to make strategic choices that benefit the community and enhance the overall DeRace experience.
🏇 Race streaming
Among building other features, our team has been exploring exciting possibilities to enable the race streaming feature into our platform. We have devised a solid plan to ensure seamless and uninterrupted race watching, and we are excited to start implementing it soon.
With the addition of race streaming and the upcoming Discord integration, we aim to create a captivating experience for both players and spectators, drawing them back to the hippodromes. This presents a fantastic opportunity to launch rewarding events that will further engage our community and enhance their overall experience.
🏆 Enhanced tournaments
This week, the DeRace team kicked off their work on the Tournament feature, focusing on enhancing its functionality through automation. To ensure we deliver a top-notch feature that will be widely utilized by the hippodrome managers, we conducted brainstorming sessions and engaging discussions within our talented team.
In addition, we actively sought input from the vibrant DeRace community, valuing their insights on the best approach to designing Tournaments with automated elements.
With a solid foundation and a clear vision of how this feature should come to life, we are thrilled to embark on the development phase.

Our upcoming hippodrome with a stunning dirt surface has reached completion, and it’s an absolute masterpiece! The track exudes elegance, and the attention to detail in the surroundings is awe-inspiring.
