🏟 Community-owned Hippodromes
During this week, our dedicated team continued their work on the Treasury function for our Community-owned Hippodromes. We have made substantial progress in building this feature, more specifically, allowing hippodrome managers to allocate a percentage of entry fees to the Treasury for other events.
The infrastructure for directing a portion of entry fees into the hippodrome Treasury has been successfully completed, ensuring a smooth and automated process.
To fully complete this function, our focus for the upcoming weeks will be on developing the capability for hippodrome managers to assign DERC tokens from the Treasury to specific events, further enhancing the prize pool for entry fees. We are excited about the potential of this feature and the opportunities it brings to the DeRace community.
✍️ Discord integration
During the past week, the DeRace team has embarked on exploring various possibilities for integrating Discord chat into our race viewer.
This exciting development aims to enhance the overall racing experience for both players and spectators. By incorporating Discord chat, participants can engage in lively discussions, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie during races.
This integration, coupled with our seamless race streaming functionality, promises to elevate the excitement and engagement levels, drawing more enthusiasts back to the racetrack.

🛠 Platform updates
In the last 2 weeks, the DeRace team has been diligently working on various fronts to enhance the overall user experience. We are thrilled to announce the release of a platform improvement batch, aimed at providing you with a more intuitive and engaging interface.
Among the notable updates are the enhanced Event and Racing history tabs, allowing for easy access to all the exciting racing events. Additionally, we have revamped the representation of race winners, offering a visually appealing and informative display.
These improvements seamlessly integrate with our upcoming features, ensuring a smooth and immersive gameplay experience.

🏇 Race streaming
We are excited to share that significant progress has been made on the integration of race streaming into the DeRace platform.
To ensure a seamless streaming experience, we are currently working on technical updates to the race viewer. Our talented game designer team has been brought in to contribute their expertise to this development phase. We anticipate having the technically updated viewer ready within the next two weeks, allowing us to continue advancing the back-end functionalities.
