Another Friday — another DeRace weekly development update!
Let’s dive into what the team has been working hard on accomplishing throughout this week 🤓
🏁 Community owned hippodromes
One of the aspects of Community Owned Hippodromes that the team has been focusing on this week, was testing out the Treasury feature.
We successfully integrated this feature as part of Community Owned Hippodromes, enabling a portion of the entry fees to be directed to a dedicated fund for sponsoring extra prizes in the races.
The Treasury aspect is now fully functional in the test-net, enhancing the reward system for both the Community Owned Hippodromes and Custom Race Creator.
Additionally, we have plans to integrate this feature into the Automated Tournaments very shortly, further enriching the gameplay experience and providing more opportunities for players to win exciting rewards.
🏆 Automated tournaments
This week, our focus has been on making significant progress with the Automated Tournament feature.
We are thrilled to announce that the logic for the Automated Tournaments is well underway, and our dedicated team has been diligently building a console to facilitate tournament creation.
Notably, we have successfully integrated key features into the console, including horse invitation with notification capabilities and the addition of extra rewards. One exciting aspect is the ability for hippodrome owners to assign rewards from the Treasury for their tournaments.
Essentially, we have established the backbone for Automated Tournament creation, and in the upcoming week, our primary focus will be on refining and automating the tournament processes.
🛠 Discord integration
This week we have also finalised the Discord integration feature and already brought it into the test-net for some additional testing.
While the integration is almost complete, we’ll be making some small adjustments to ensure an optimized experience for our mobile users. Rest assured, we’ll thoroughly test the feature before its official release.
Get ready for some exciting times ahead as players will soon be able to chat during races, cheer for their beloved NFT horses and fully immerse themselves in the elevated horse racing experience on the DeRace platform.
🏇 Race streaming
Among various other improvements that the team has completed this week, we have also successfully introduced the enhanced version of uninterrupted race streaming into the test-net.
Our primary focus is on rigorous testing to ensure seamless transitions between races. Additionally, we’re working on an exciting feature that will allow players to choose the next race they want to observe once the current one concludes. This will elevate players’ race-watching experience and keep the excitement going!
We’re aiming to finalize and test this addition in the upcoming week.
