Breeding contract, an upcoming grand race UI update, finalising a new hippodrome…
This week we were working on making the races even more user friendly as well as adding new features to the existing game to bring it closer to our vision of DeRace.

Time to test the breeding contract 🐎❤️🐎
January is the month of love in the DeRace metaverse!💕
This week we have finalised the breeding contract and we are getting ready to launch NFT horse breeding at the end of this month!
There’s still some work to be done, mainly to make sure that the horse breeding feature is fully operational. We will be dedicating all the time until the launch to testing the breeding contract on the testnet in order to iron out even the smallest details.
New hippodrome is coming to completion 🌴
Sun, palms, mountains… sounds like something out of a dream? Escape the winter in the DeRace metaverse!
We’ve finalised a new hippodrome which will take you to a completely different part of the world!
It has a different size — the new hippodrome is much larger than the current one — and it can host longer races. Start preparing your horses for endurance runs, races with up to 12 furlongs will be possible in the new hippodrome.
Did I mention it has a new surface, too? 🤩
Grand race update 📸
We have also made major interface updates which will make participating in the races even more exciting!
We will soon launch the grand race update which we were working on this whole week. In the updated version you will be able to see where your horse is on the race track, even if it’s lagging behind. Remember that even if your horse is not in the lead at the very beginning of the race, it can always perform an exciting comeback!
Other platform updates include:
- Follow-my-horse function
- New camera angles
- Your horse being marked in the race
- Option to minimise horse times’ table during the race
- Final result table moved to the side to not cover the winners
- Race tracker added at the bottom of the screen
- 2 new ad spaces added at the finish line
We will launch the new version of the races in the upcoming days, so keep your eyes open 👀
