zkRace x Base: big things are cooking
We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming transition to the Base network!
By migrating to Base, we aim to provide a more robust and dynamic platform for our users, enabling new listings and exciting events that leverage the unique strengths of the Base network. It will also help us foster broader integration opportunities across multiple blockchain networks.
We already began technical preparation for this migration, involving a comprehensive review and adaptation of our existing system architecture to ensure seamless compatibility with Base. Our team has been diligently setting up secure asset bridges and optimizing smart contracts to handle cross-chain transactions efficiently. These preparations are crucial in maintaining a smooth and uninterrupted player experience during and after the transition.
Looking ahead to October, we plan to officially go live on Base and we anticipate a significant expansion in our user base, as zkRace will be introduced to a wider audience. We’re excited about the possibilities this will bring, including new integrations and events designed to engage our community and drive the game’s growth.
Horse NFT Staking: Horse Retirement system in-progress
September marked significant progress in the development of our Horse NFT staking feature, which allows players to earn Sugar Cubes by staking their Horse NFTs. This new feature is integral to our Horse Retirement System, aiming to provide long-term value to horse owners and enhance the overall game economy. Our game economist has been closely reviewing the Sugar Cubes economy to ensure its sustainability.
We’ve also focused on developing a user-friendly interface for this staking feature. zkRace design team is crafting an intuitive UI that simplifies the staking process, making it easy for players to manage their assets and track their earnings. This development is critical for ensuring that the staking system is accessible and engaging for all players.
As we continue to refine the staking logic and the user interface, our next steps include integrating these elements with the back-end infrastructure.
Free Trial Mode: bringing zkRace to masses
This month we’ve also made continuous improvements to the Free Trial Mode based on user feedback and testing. We introduced a button that allows players to backtrack a few steps during their trial. This enhancement helps new users navigate the learning process more effectively, ensuring that they can fully understand and enjoy the game without any obstacles.
Excitingly, this month we launched the Free Trial Mode quests in collaboration with GAM3S.gg, a popular Web3 game aggregator. This partnership allows us to leverage their platform to introduce new players to zkRace Free Trial Mode, offering rewards and incentives for participation.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand these quests to other Web3 game aggregators, further increasing our reach and enhancing our onboarding process. Community Spotlight
This month, our community engagement efforts have been particularly successful, as we’ve implemented several updates based on direct feedback from our players.
We added Horse IDs directly onto horse cards across multiple platform pages, including the marketplace, NFT horse page, renting page, and breeding page, to simplify the user experience by eliminating the need to navigate away from current pages to view essential horse information. We also included the NFT price in the final confirmation step of purchases, to ensure users are fully aware of the costs before finalizing transactions.
In response to community suggestions for more efficient gameplay, we introduced a bulk spin feature in our Spin-the-Wheel game. This update allows players to execute multiple spins simultaneously, drastically speeding up the process and enhancing user satisfaction.
We also began discussions about introducing a Seasons feature, a concept brought forth by community members. The Seasons system aims to structure competitions over set periods, with players earning rewards based on their activity and performance throughout the season. Our team is currently outlining the main mechanics, timelines, and integration strategies for this feature. Seasons are expected to add a fresh layer of excitement and competition to zkRace, encouraging daily participation and offering players new ways to engage with the game and earn rewards.
